Lack of tech...

Weel, the Fujita HOTEL has a positive lack of net connection. So I`ll update photos if I find a Intenet cafe somewhere.

So, yesterday. Scott and I had a free day so we decided to go to Motomoyama Mausoleum and to Fushima-Inari shrine.

It was raining when we left to go to the local train. Momotoyama Mausoleum
Once we got to Motomoyama we started to walk toward the site. As we got closer we entered a wood. The trip through the rain and mist shrouded forest was quite a treat. We passed few people. Eventually we arrived at the site. There were 2 main buildings and a small garden around it. It was obvious from the lack of care that only the buildings were being cared for. A shame, it was a nice place.

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

Finally

Well, we made it to Kyoto. Tired, hungry but here. This will be a short post.

This has been one long trip so far. Caught a cold over the weekend. I drugged up to fly. Did ok considering I got about 3 hours of sleep Monday night.
Kansai Haruka Platform
First stop was the train station to get to Kyoto. We took the Haruka in. Lovely ride. Kind of a blur :)

Once we checked in we went to the station for dinner.

Well...

Hirosawanoike Pond
I guess I'm doing something I said I'd never do :)

Still, I think that this will be interesting if not kinda fun. Since I'm not a writer, I'll do my level best to at least be coherent and concise. If I ramble just ignore me.

On to what to expect and why I'm doing this. I created this site to chronicle my upcoming trip to Japan. I'll be traveling there for about 3 weeks. The first week will be attending the Third World Butoku Sai of the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai. The following 2 weeks will be traveling around the central part of Honshu. Each day I plan to post items of interest along with photos.

It'll be a week or 2 until my first post from the road. So stay tuned :)
